Campaign Dynamics at the Bundestag election of 2013

The article explains the ideal typical characteristics of RCS-studies and discusses the problems involved in its practical implementation with the example of the RCS study conducted as part of the German Longitudinal Election Study (GLES) in the time leading up to the Bundestag election in 2013. Analysis of the random sampling structure according to replicant age and the distribution stability of socio-demographic characteristics in the period of time allowed provide information about the quality of the data obtained. The content analysis potential for RCS-data is outlined based on the development of perceptions, expectations, and preferences of voters during the course of the election.
